About Dr. Kim
The success
of Dr. Kim Ok Gwan is founded upon the combination of powerful complimentary therapies that he has developed into a unique
healing system for diagnosing and treating a wide range of ailments. Patients come from all over the world to his clinic
in San Jose, Costa Rica for treatment of their serious health problems.
Dr. Kim began his pursuit of the healing
arts by becoming a master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after graduation from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health
Science in California. Through years of clinical experiences in Oriental Medicine, he concluded that nutrition is the
most important therapy to be used in the healing arts. He therefore obtained a Ph.D in Nutritional Counseling at the La
Salle University in 1997 in Louisiana. As his practice evolved, he noticed a repeating pattern in which many ailments
were ultimately rooted in unidentified allergies. He studied with a leading allergy expert, Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad
who has developed a remarkable technique for allergy treatment and elimination.
Continually refining his
practice, Dr. Kim obtained his Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) in 2007 from Trinity College in Indiana, in order to facilitate
integrating the natural healing arts with western science.
He is currently practicing his unique healing
arts in Rohrmoser, San Jose, Costa Rica where he lives with his wife and son.
